about this webserver

This server is running on an AMD sempron 3400+ processor. It has 1.25 GB PC-3200 DDR memory, integrated gigabit ethernet, and 3.08 TB of storage, 3TB of which is in a RAID-5 configuration. The server is currently configured with the Linux operating system, kernel 2.6.24-23, using the Ubuntu 8.04 LTS "Hardy Heron" distribution.

Other Semi-Public Services

For all users of this server, there is an FTP service designed to allow authenticated uploads into the appropriate user directories. All uploaded files are stored on the mirrored portion of this system's storage platform. This eliminates a single point of failure for the system and provides data redundancy.

In addition to hosting websites and FTP uploads, this server currently has a music server which can be found here. The music server allows users to play any audio files currently stored in my listening archive.
